Description

The System is a biological wastewater treatment process using floating fine air bubble tubular diffusers.

Hundreds of successful installations treating municipal and industrial wastewater since 2001.

Using long sludge age and hydraulic retention time, the system provides simple and cost-effective solution for biological treatment applications. The biological plant can handle different loads and flow with minimal intervention, producing low BOD and Nitrification, removing ammonia and also nitrates when operating the automatic oxic-anoxic zones inside the same basin. This way, separate basins for recycle and pumps are not necessary.

Most existing systems can be modified and upgraded into this solution, making it the best cost effective alternative for easy retrofitting.

The floating PEAD aeration header chains keep the tubular fine bubble diffusers approximately one foot above the basin bottom. The chains floats on the surface water level.

Because there are no points of attachment or support to the basin bottom, all equipment (individual diffusers assemblies) is easily accessible and removable for maintenance without basin dewatering, eliminating the need for redundant treatment basins and system shut off.

The flexible, floating aeration chains move through the basin surface by the air bubbles rising from the diffusers. As a result, the moving aeration chains are extremely efficient mixing process, requiring only part of the energy for complete mixing compared to fixed diffused air devices or mechanical aeration systems like surface aerators.

One process advantage is that the process can incorporate an airlift sludge return system in the clarifier itself, eliminating the need for mechanical RAS and WAS pumps.
